Diabetes on the rise, study finds

Reuters reports that new study findings suggest more than one in three individuals in the United States has diabetes or impaired fasting glucose, a condition that increases the risk of developing diabetes. That’s just downright scary.

    Type 2 Diabetes is in direct correlation with weight. Increased Obesity = Increased Diabetes Risk. Lose the weight and then that gives you a chance of missing the scare. At Methodist Hospital 80% of the people have Type 2 Diabetes that are on the “Wellness Program” and half of them are on Insulin. At the end of the year that number is under 20%. That is one disease where your lifestyle can really have an influence on the outcome. Obesity is downright scary, I have learned.
